Safe to spend, explained

Safe to spend is not your bank balance. It is the balance minus the bills and goals you already promised to cover.

If payday is in 12 days and rent is due in 6, rent is already spoken for. The number on the home screen leaves it out.

You can still record the purchase. The point is to see the trade before the bill date arrives.
